Book Buying Ban week#13 which was a total fail!

Yep. Not much reading done this week. Tired, cranky and can't concentrate.
READ:
LEGEND was disappointing, rushed, underdeveloped and it would not make much sense no matter how I tried. Day and June annoyed me to no end with their arrogance, because all that mess in the book could have been easily avoided if they'd use their so called genius minds with some sort of direction. TEMPEST I actually enjoyed but it was a mess as well plot-wise.
As you can guess I also bought books because The Book People had Halloween promotion of free delivery, and I snagged three tradebacks for just over £10...
I expect to buy 2-3 more books next weekend when we are in London, but that's it! I'm putting my foot down until the end of November.
Total:
38 books (1 for review) left
I'm leaving you for now to drink wine, eat good food and watch silly movies.
Adieu, me dears!
Have a great weekend!

Well, we all tend to break it eventually! I can't even set a buying ban really!
Enjoy your reads!
My STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by!
Have a GREAT weekend!
Old Follower :)
That is really disappointing to hear - about the books I mean.
I have had Legend on my shelf for a while and I just got Tempest as a birthday gift. Oh well, hopefully I'll enjoy them.
Hope you enjoyed your wine!
That's so disappointing, two bad books in a row. :( I hope the next one is better.
I must admit that "Tempest" didn't rock my boat either, I mean, it's certainly not downright bad, more of the average variety. "Legend" though is still comfortably sitting on my wishlist, but well ... your words don't exactly make me want to go out and buy it now, ha.
BTW I don't seem to get an awful lot of reading done myself these days. Currently I manage to read two books a week which really isn't a lot *shrugs*.
I think that's more of a bend in the ban than a break! :-) You are still reading more than are coming in which is what I want to get to at some point! :-)
Hollow Pike looks so good! :) Happy reading!
Oh some new books I haven't read. I'm so proud of me I haven't received anything!
I got Rebel Heart this week too:)I've been wanting to read Blood Magic as well.
Sorry your two reads this week were a bust! I just read Prodigy, the sequel to Legend, and the series is okay, but I have to admit, it doesn't really sweep me off my feet.
Totally agree with you about Legend. There were parts I liked, but most of it was pretty disappointing and mediocre.
Rebel Heart, on the other hand, is fantastic. I also really enjoyed Blood Magic.
Enjoy!
I've had Blood Magic since last Christmas and still haven't gotten around to reading it. Meep.
K! You're so hard on yourself. You've gone ONE review copy left and I haven't even begin to start on my pile. I agree with Legend; it was good but there are better ones out there. Someone lent me Prodigy last month and I flounced on it. Everyone's looking forward to this but based on what I've managed to read, it wasn't the next best thing since sliced bread. Heh.
*hugs* for breaking you buying ban, but for £10 you got some great books. I have read Blood Magic and really liked it, I still have to read Rebel Heart and I need to pick up a copy of Hollow Pike.
Thanks for stopping by my blog :)
Lol! Bad you! I did also break down and buy 4 books in October. Bad I did have two awesome gcs..my excuse
Aww you broke you ban..but enjoy them and the wine, food and silly movies!
Say it ain't so about Legend! Ahhhhh! I bought that one and Divergent at the same time, because everyone said they were awesome. I already hated Divergent. *weeps over misspent money*
The cat is perfect for how I am feeling right now haha. Hope your next book is better!
