  2. My greatest fear as a child was bees and wasps. I was sitting on a riverbank and put my elbow down on the grass and I got stung twice. This scared the beejeezus out of me. I could never be in the same room as a bee or a wasp otherwise I'd freak.

Great book choice by the way :D

  5. I am with you on this one.

I was terrified of the dark especially if I was alone.

With a vivid imagination I just knew there was all kinds of scary things in every shadow and under every bit of furniture.

Luckily I got over this when in my teens.

    Thanks for the giveaway.

  9. 1st of all I wanna say that your blog design surely looks creepy :p

Well my fear when I was a child was similar to yours... just that I use to develop it...dunno for what reasons...since childhood only I had the habit of checking out horror flicks or check out haunted stories on channels..and after that when I use to sleep and get up in the middle of the night, all those stories use to come in my mind.. as if somebody is standing besides me.. spooky eyes staring at me.. a shadow running past me and stuff like that.It was gay but it was fun ^_^

Well now for your awesome gruesome giveaway :p

  11. When I was a kid, I was the one reading Scary Stories by Alvin Schwartz, and scaring all my friends at slumber parties by retelling them. I was basically fearless, except for one thing:

    Spiders.

UGH. I hated and still hate spiders, with their creepy eight legs (who needs eight legs, anyway), and the way they scuttle across the ground and hide when you turn the lights on, and okay that's enough. I'm giving myself the creeps.

When I was a child I owned a very fancy antique mirror that was carved so that it looked like it had eyes in the mirror frame. 93. Honestly, I can't really remember having any real fears when I was a child. I wasn't one of those kids that were afraid of the dark, or what was under the bed, or lurking in a closet. I did have cousins that were terrified to sleep in my room whenever they spent the night, because I had porcelain dolls all over my room. So you could see the shapes of them all around you when the moon shone through my window lol. But I felt safe with them there. Not for lack of imagination, as I had a great imagination when I played. But I used to watch scary movies a lot when I was a little girl. I liked them. Still do. So I think that's why those kinds of things didn't bother me lol.

I have a fear of spiders now, and most any creepy crawlies lol. That was something that didn't bother me when I was a kid either though. I used to play around with them.

The only real thing I could think of that maybe scared me(and I would constantly dwell on and obsess over) was my grandmother's (and her daughter, my aunt's) constant religious ramblings. She'd frequently remind me that I was now old enough to burn in hell (not the words she would use of course lol, but basically what she meant)for my sins. And talk about the devil, the anti-christ, judgement day, etc. She didn't like that I participated in Halloween activities, the books I read with questionable (to her) content, and movies/cartoons/video games I watched/played involving magic, the paranormal, and anything that wasn't happy rainbows and pink fluffy bunnies. I think she thought she could scare me into living a "good Christian" life. So I constantly had all that floating around in the back of my mind. I'm over it now though. And I don't think I was such a bad person then, or even now that I contantly needed to hear all that. Anyways, that's probably really the only thing I was afraid of as a child.

My childhood fear (and my still my fear now) is the fear of falling. When I was a child, I used to have nightmares about being in a mall with my parents, when suddenly they go down this escalator. I don't follow them and stay at the top of the steps, watching them walk away. When they are a bit further, everything around me starts to crumble away, the escalator, the floor, the walls and ceiling. Next thing I know, I'm falling and then I wake up. Even now, I'm not good with heights because I feel like I might topple over the edge or things might come crumbling down.

  186. When I was little I was afraid of the dark. Especially the dark closet. If the door was just a little open, I couldn't sleep.

  188. I think most (if not all) kids are afraid of the dark. I was. I admit! Haha. I was also scared of spiders, cockroaches, and everything that crawls. ROFL. I'm actually still afraid of spiders until now. T__T

  192. 1. My greatest fear was someone breaking into our house and killing my entire family and leaving me alive. Morbid, I know...I was permitted to watch too many horror films!

As for my greatest fear as a child? Not quite the dark, I'm still scared of that (or rather what's in it). Perhaps the monsters I had nightmares about. Gorillas and shadow monsters and that child from Pet Semetary.. Yes I watched Stephen King before the age of 10. :p No, I wouldn't now. Ha.
