Masque of The Red Death by Bethany Griffin (Masque of The Red Death #1)
won from GollanzSynopsis from Goodreads
Everything is in ruins.
A devastating plague has decimated the population. And those who are left live in fear of catching it as the city crumbles to pieces around them.
So what does Araby Worth have to live for?
Nights in the Debauchery Club, beautiful dresses, glittery make-up . . . and tantalizing ways to forget it all.
But in the depths of the club—in the depths of her own despair—Araby will find more than oblivion. She will find Will, the terribly handsome proprietor of the club. And Elliott, the wickedly smart aristocrat. Neither boy is what he seems. Both have secrets. Everyone does.
And Araby may find something not just to live for, but to fight for—no matter what it costs her.

Beautiful, dark and poetic, - I really enjoyed this book. Bethany Griffin painted a grim picture of the world bleak and desolate, world consumed by plague, cities falling to ruin, dead on the streets, children with no future because their parents can't afford masks which filter the air you breathe and therefore offer some protection from the disease...Araby Worth is a daughter of the scientist who designed the first mask. The mask was meant for her weaker twin, Finn, but he thought it was too girly and Araby took it not knowing that the mask would adapt to her and won't help her twin. Finn dies in a horrid fashion, and Araby swears not to experience all the things he would never experience.
Her life is spent listlessly, wearing fashionable Gothic dresses, going to Debauchery Club and taking drugs which make her forget the world around her for just a moment.
Her apathy is lifted when Araby gets involved into a plot to overturn the tyranny of a current ruler. She starts to slowly care for her co-conspirator Elliott and for a lowly guard in the club, Will, who only tries to provide for his younger siblings...
But there is so little time to live and love with the civil war brewing, riots and horrible desperation which overcomes everyone when the new disease arises from the plague, The Red Death...
All-consuming, gripping plot, characters you feel for and beautiful storytelling. Do read this book, peeps!

I know this book? Might be by another cover, Anyway sounds good :D
Oh nice it sounds like a great book. LOL you had me with the three first words of your review.
Yay! You liked it a lot! Hurrah! I did too. :)
This is one of the only love triangles that I've legitimately liked, because both guys have depths (though they don't seem like it at first) and neither is an obviously good choice, nor is it obvious whom she'll choose in the end.
Woo!
I can't wait to read this book! <3 It sounds great.
Blodeuedd, the American cover probably. It's very flashy :)
Dehlia, I'm pretty sure you'll really like it!
Christina, you are so spot on. They are both not bad, and none of them is an obvious choice. That wasn't a particularly bad triangle nor it was very obvious.
Mel, it was great. Hope you do read it soon!
