I have been hearing a lot about the many books that are coming out now that evidently are retelling of fairy tales, but I have not read one to my knowledge, if I have the fairytale was not recognizable as such by me :) I have read a lot of UF and of course those are generally based on myths about the supernatural, but who really knows :) Thanks for sharing today. I found your blog today over at Candace's Book Blog and am glad I did. I have signed up to follow and look forward to reading more of what you have to say. Thank you for the awesome giveaway opportunity.

I admit, I haven't read that many, so my choice would have to be "Just Ella" as I don't remember reading any other retellings of fairy tales right now (how sad is that).

"What is your favorite book retelling a fairy tale or a popular myth?"
ReplyDeleteThere's a few that come to mind, like Hans Christian Anderson's "The Snow Queen" and the re-telling of it by Wendy Delsol in her books, Stork and her soon to be released Frost. Then there's also Beauty and the Beast in the modern re-telling from of the novel Beastly, which I've just recently read and absolutely loved. :)
I follow you through GCF - Susan Haugland. I've also tweeted and facebooked about this.
