The Postman Knock #40
Announcement:
Thanks to very helpful comments last Sunday I've replaced an email subscription option on this blog to the one offered through Feedburner, so please if you still prefer to follow me through email and you have been cut off by Blogtrottr from my posts since last Friday, you can resubscribe again!
In other news, I've been a guest on Melissa's blog celebrating her blogoversary by naming 5 top steampunk and sci-fi reads of this year. Come and say hello if you are interested, folks!
How was your week anyway?
Mine was glorious on the book front.
I'VE READ extremely delicious books :
THE MYSTERIOUS CASE OF MR. STRANGEWAY is a nice and very short novella in Cherry St. Croix's world. I wasn't entirely sold on it, but it had Hawke. Enough said. BANQUET OF LIES had to be snatched from Edelweiss like a hot cake and read in one go. Like all books from Michelle it was completely absorbing and gripping. Loved it! IF I WERE YOU and BEING ME were on my wishlist for a long time, and as you can see I'm reading a lot of erotic romance right now so I really enjoyed Lisa Renee Jones's writing. It was definitely more like a spicy mystery than something straight from Ellora's Cave. Because of these two books I've read ESCAPING REALITY by the same author and again it was 4 star solid story and I can't wait to read book #2 in this new series. At last, HELLFIRE which came out this week did not disappoint. It's such a fantastic military sci-fi that I'm ready to recommend it to anyone who'd listen. And finally, MAGIC RISES was totally worth the wait (I had to wait 48 torturous hours after its release as a paperback in UK until it got uploaded as kindle version) and I was dizzy and wrung out when I finish it feeling like I should have had a shot of vodka and a spoonful of caviar. It was just that glorious!
