The Postman Knock #84 & Winner of Vika's Giveaway!

Parties, projects, harvesting, Alex's dad leaving for home at last.. The week felt strangely hectic, and I'm exhausted now. Good news, I tried an audio book at last. I don't think I'll be doing it all the time, but if the narrator is really good, I will listen to a book now and then. I'm listening to the last third of Written in My Own Heart's Blood by Diana Gabaldon now and enjoying Davina Porter's voice. I also heard a sample of Shattered by Kevin Hearne, and I think this will be my next audio book. The old druid's voice cracked me up!

Here is what I'VE READ this week:

ONCE UPON A BILLIONAIRE was fun! I have mixed feelings about Jessica Clare, and I did NOT enjoy her previous book in this series at all, but this was fab! If you want to read about antisocial filthy rich royal from a tiny European country and his poor Southern temporary assistant with a really bad taste in clothes, this is your ticket. It even reminded me of Penny Reid, it was so comical... HARDWIRED was cool. A really fast read, a good contemporary romance; nice balance of power between the main characters and a completely unknown to me author. I found her because she is insanely highly rated on Amazon under erotic romance. Go figure ...

I can't think of anything else right now, so have a good weekend, everyone, tchau!

P.S. The winner of Vika's scrumptious giveaway is...

JENNIFER S. (Entry #170)!

Congrats, Jennifer! Vika contacted you already, so please check your inbox :)

In case of zombie apocalypse

Hey, guys! I feel like I should say this just in case :)
If you'd like to sponsor a fellow book addict who sometimes can't sleep at night worrying that she won't have enough books to read if internet goes down in the event of zombie apocalypse (I'm convinced it's one of the top five ways to go for human race) you can donate through Paypal to olivesandacorns at gmail dot com or buy a book through any of the links provided with my reviews which will send me a small percentage from the sale. All proceeds will go towards my enormous TBR. I will also shelter you on the remote farm in Portugal when zombie apocalypse starts provided you survive getting there. There will be books, yay?
Thank you! Love you all
