The Postman Knock #72
Hello, peeps! How is everyone?
We had a week of frosty nights, which killed off our corn and beans, but everything else is alive, so yay! :) We also moved our caravan to a nicer spot just before the rains started again *pats herself on the shoulder* and had a very busy week socially, which was surprising after a couple of quiet weeks.
Here is what I've READ:
STOLEN SONGBIRD was gorgeous! A lovely YA fantasy which I recommend to everyone! THE OPHELIA PROPHECY was a nice sci-fi romance, and THE THIRD I just DNFed after a couple of chapters as I could see straight away that this book would piss me off. ONE DEATH AT A TIME was a good noir vampire detective based in Los Angeles, and I'd recommend it to the fans of Vicki Pettersson's similar series. THE KRAKEN KING PART I was simply AWESOME! I strongly recommend to pre-order it. At last, NIGHT OWLS was an alright read but I felt that it was an average one.
NETGALLEY:
This is one of the exceptions to my self imposed ban on requests (I'm waiting on couple of more books coming my way before May), and as this is a novella, me and Vika will do a joint short review on it.
FREEBIE:
I wanted to try Kristen Proby, and her 1st book in the series was a kindle freebie, so I grabbed it!
This is it for me, folks.
Have a nice weekend,
Ciao!
