The Postman Knock #71

Hello, my dear readers!
It's been hot, hot, hot here! I can't believe it's only spring.

Here is a basket of wild flowers from our quinta for you! :)
How was your week?

I've READ:

I can't tell you how bad was GILDED HEARTS. I'll review it in April, but right now I'm just glad I finished it. After that reading SPIN was a breeze. Yummy story about a mafia man and a rich heiress. I also finished another book that stayed on my reading shelf for ages, -BEYOND PAIN. Not my favorite in the series, but it was alright. At last, RESURRECTION was a fantastic conclusion of a solid series. Really loved it and sad to let it go.

BOUGHT:

Summary
Duty knows no family. Love has no price. Secrets can cost you everything.

Twenty-year-old Sanaa Griffin, a sweet and smart half-Japanese girl, is about to get more than she bargained for when she wishes for love and excitement on New Year’s Eve 3103. Mark Sakai, who knows more about her than any stranger should, thinks Sanaa is the perfect person to spy on the heads of the three biggest Japanese clan leaders in Nishikyō. He wants her to gather enough evidence to keep them from going to war when they land on Earth’s colonization planet, Yūsei. Nishikyō, built by the Japanese 300 years ago to house the rest of mankind, is failing and everyone is preparing to leave.

Sakai has known Sanaa’s family all her life but she knows nothing of him! And despite all the time they spend together, he keeps his distance from her. Then one day, he brings her to Jiro, his nephew, to learn sword fighting, and it changes her life irrevocably. Between falling in love with Jiro and the information she is gathering on the clans, Sanaa realizes Sakai is holding back secrets about her family and her deceased parents, secrets as to why she was chosen for this job, and learning the truth puts her and all of Nishikyō in danger.

Honestly, this sounded so right up my alley, I couldn't resist.

Beyond Jealousy was out this week, and Aric Davis was a kindle deal of the day which was on my wishlist for ages.
Otherwise, I'm still abstaining from requesting any reads and clearing out my bookshelves this week. How about you?

In other NEWS:

We have our combined Facebook Page now, peeps, if any of you want to like it. There is an easy link on the sidebar. *mwah*

If anyone follows my farming blog, it now has a Facebook page as well.

Have a nice weekend!
Ciao!

In case of zombie apocalypse

Hey, guys! I feel like I should say this just in case :)
If you'd like to sponsor a fellow book addict who sometimes can't sleep at night worrying that she won't have enough books to read if internet goes down in the event of zombie apocalypse (I'm convinced it's one of the top five ways to go for human race) you can donate through Paypal to olivesandacorns at gmail dot com or buy a book through any of the links provided with my reviews which will send me a small percentage from the sale. All proceeds will go towards my enormous TBR. I will also shelter you on the remote farm in Portugal when zombie apocalypse starts provided you survive getting there. There will be books, yay?
Thank you! Love you all
