Urban Fantasy Mini Review: Sweep in Peace by Ilona Andrews

Sweep in Peace by Ilona Andrews (Innkeeper Chronicles #2)

Synopsis from Goodreads
Dina DeMille doesn’t run your typical Bed and Breakfast. Her inn defies laws of physics, her fluffy dog is secretly a monster, and the only paying guest is a former Galactic tyrant with a price on her head. But the inn needs guests to thrive, and guests have been scarce, so when an Arbitrator shows up at Dina's door and asks her to host a peace summit between three warring species, she jumps on the chance.

Unfortunately, for Dina, keeping the peace between Space Vampires, the Hope-Crushing Horde, and the devious Merchants of Baha-char is much easier said than done. On top of keeping her guests from murdering each other, she must find a chef, remodel the inn...and risk everything, even her life, to save the man she might fall in love with. But then it's all in the day's work for an Innkeeper…

As I'm reading extremely slow right now due to busy timetable, you have to excuse my mini-reviews, peeps.

Sweep in Peace was another serialized read I intentionally waited for so I can read the whole book in one go. I'm just not a big fun of crumbs. I'd rather have the whole cake in one bite. And I have to say, not only it was worth the wait, it was FABULOUS! The non-stop action, superb fight scenes, wry humour and an unexpected bittersweet ending... It was everything I learned to expect from Ilona Andrews's writing and more.

Dina is a gorgeous protagonist, there is a deep well inside her, and the rest of main characters are not simple as well. I love the urban fantasy/science fiction mixture in this series, and I can not wait for next book. Definitely, one of the reading highlights of 2015 for me. Very much recommended

In case of zombie apocalypse

Hey, guys! I feel like I should say this just in case :)
If you'd like to sponsor a fellow book addict who sometimes can't sleep at night worrying that she won't have enough books to read if internet goes down in the event of zombie apocalypse (I'm convinced it's one of the top five ways to go for human race) you can donate through Paypal to olivesandacorns at gmail dot com or buy a book through any of the links provided with my reviews which will send me a small percentage from the sale. All proceeds will go towards my enormous TBR. I will also shelter you on the remote farm in Portugal when zombie apocalypse starts provided you survive getting there. There will be books, yay?
Thank you! Love you all
