I put it on my wishlist.

You have some good looking books there and a few I'll need to watch for.Beahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17455117466213636141noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7661776850778781626.post-88257884354587213742013-04-13T21:09:05.991+01:002013-04-13T21:09:05.991+01:00It does, doesn't it? :)It does, doesn't it? :)kara-karina@Nocturnal Book Reviewshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11262585710463536717noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7661776850778781626.post-15491898765008258362013-04-13T21:06:31.964+01:002013-04-13T21:06:31.964+01:00Ohhh the first one looks really goodOhhh the first one looks really goodBlodeueddhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03435479623560871881noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7661776850778781626.post-4565245971054039252013-04-13T12:26:48.692+01:002013-04-13T12:26:48.692+01:00Mistress, I don't do it even for my favorites,...Mistress, I don't do it even for my favorites, to be honest. If the book is not in paperback, I won't buy it. For me it's very often food and heating instead of book buying so my hobby can't eclipse what I need to survive. So I wait for book sales or for my library to get the book.
I think all those books that only come out in hardbacks for $25 for a year hurt publishing business big time. When there is no ebook version or cheap paperbacks, that's when piracy kicks in. Hardbacks have to die (or stay as an option for collectors), they are completely unnecessary.

Mel, amen to that! :)

Aurian, I honestly never came across her, but look her backlist up. And yes, Hellfire is on my must buy list! :)

Petra, The Golden City just looks and sounds absolutely gorgeous...

D., me too. It looks like Dehlia's book will be awesome! :)kara-karina@Nocturnal Book Reviewshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11262585710463536717noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7661776850778781626.post-60183448459511267882013-04-13T10:33:44.811+01:002013-04-13T10:33:44.811+01:00Oh I didn't know the first one but I love the ...Oh I didn't know the first one but I love the cover. I love that series. And are you serious that Anne Bishop is a new author for you? You really, really should try her Black Jewels books then. I have re-read them so often! And Written in Red is truly amazing and awesome, and yes, way too expensive. Just wait for the paperback, it will come some day.Aurianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04538247058229504410noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7661776850778781626.post-36303906270811806252013-04-13T07:16:42.774+01:002013-04-13T07:16:42.774+01:00I'd love to read Written In Red as well - but ...I'd love to read Written In Red as well - but same as you I will wait for the paperback to come out! :-)Melhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12232105105688358961noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7661776850778781626.post-43305882087831257602013-04-13T07:13:13.215+01:002013-04-13T07:13:13.215+01:00Written in Red is one I've been seeing and it ...Written in Red is one I've been seeing and it does look really good. Like you, though, that price is more than I'm willing to pay on an author I don't know. Penguin is one of the worst publishers for marking up their book prices and I really think it hurts them. So many times I chose not to read a book they put out because it was above my $9.99 limit. The only way I go above that is if the author is on my top ten list of favorites like Patricia Briggs.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
