Oh my god, why did I punish myself and read this author again? We are obviously not suited as I find her flowery style very annoying.

Apart from that, it's a decent read, at times hot and with an intriguing world-building.

There are two underlying conflicts, Nick and Hunter's past trauma which let them drift apart and Roxy's past abusive relationship. I found them interesting, and she was obviously suffering from PTSD considering her reactions.

What I found disappointing is the villain's inexplicable change of heart which tied nicely into the abrupt ending. Sorry, I could not buy it.

Otherwise, it's an okay read, but I'll be avoiding Calista Fox in the future. She is just not for me.
