The Postman Knock #90

OMG, my Internet is so slow it took me at least an hour to do this post, peeps!
I think I'll be taking next week off blogging, and unless Vika manages to post something,  the blog will not be updated.
I've run out of most of the pre-scheduled posts, and we are insanely busy with the harvest and next week (from today till the 10th) I'm catering for a chai shop at a local trance festival, so I'll be making my pastries at night and hopefully sleeping during the day.
I'll let you know how it goes :)

READ:

I've listened to SHATTERED on audio, and I have to say I had mixed feelings about this book. Atticus kind of got lost among Granuaille and Owen's narratives, so it wasn't a five star read for me, but a solid 4 star? Definitely.
I also re-read A DISCOVERY OF WITCHES and SHADOW OF NIGHT by Deborah Harkness, and now I'm at last devouring my copy of THE BOOK OF LIFE. My favorite quote so far?

"No, I'm a vampire."
"And before you ask, I can go outside during the day and my hair won't catch fire in the sunlight. I'm Catholic and have a crucifix When I sleep, which is not often, I prefer a bed to a coffin. If you try to stake me, the wood will likely splinter before it enters my skin."
He bared his teeth. "No fangs either. And one last thing: I do not, nor have I ever, sparkled."

Oh, Matthew! You are awesome.

NETGALLEY/EDELWEISS:

OMG, Burn For Me was a complete surprise, and I'm ecstatic to read it! So as Engraved, as I'm very curious to see what happens to Cherry now.

This is it for me, me dears. Take care, and hopefully I'll see you in a week's time or maybe even earlier, who knows...
Tchau!
