The Postman Knock #73

Hello, everyone!
We had a whole week of rain and subsequently not enough electricity to get glued to my laptop *grinning* Thanks God for kindle!
How was your week, peeps?

I've READ:

CLOAKED IN DANGER was a DNF a third way through. You see? I'm learning to let go of review books! Major issues with the heroine and an uninspiring plot in general. EMPRESS OF THE SUN on the other hand was pretty amazing after a so-so second book in the series. All I can say, - an empire where dinosaurs never died out? Yes, please! THIRD DAUGHTER was a wonderful read as well, more fantasy than steampunk but based on Indian culture. Pretty and gorgeous! At last, DARK SERPENT was a mixed bag of feelings as it's second part was much better than the first.  With CITADELS OF FIRE marked as Russian historical fiction I do not recommend this book to anyone. The amount of major cultural blunders in it and modern language bugged me to no end! At last, WRITTEN IN RED was AWESOME! I'm so glad that I've read it at last :)

FOR REVIEW:
OMG, this Friday I had a great surprise in the post. I can't believe Anne Cleeland posted this book to me all the way from California to Portugal! Blown away :) Thank you, Anne!

BOUGHT:

Crimson Psyche is a third book in the quirky vampire series I follow and it was a kindle offer, and Unwound just came out. Woohoo! The Abomination is a mystery set in Venice I had on my wishlist and it's £ 0.85 on kindle right now. I've no clue how it appeared on my wishlist, but I must have read something about it somewhere to want it :)

I'm doing well with review copies clear out. I have only 3 left and they are all with the publication dates which didn't come to pass yet. *patting herself on the shoulder*

Have a great weekend, everyone!
Ciao!
