The Postman Knock #50

Ola, everyone!
I didn't know if I could make Sunday post this week because our generator died 3 days ago, and we were forced to set the solar power system sooner rather than later.
And it wasn't working no matter how many times we checked all the manuals.
Thankfully our friends whom I usually meet on Friday at the yoga class agreed to come to our quinta (farm) and have a quick look on Saturday, and lo and behold the glitch was fixed and we are running on solar power right now! :)

It was also a busy reading week for me.

I READ:

All of these were review copies, as I am determined to clear out my review requests so I  can finally start reading my own copies. THE HARVESTING was pretty cool zombie/vampire flick, RORY reminded me of Alice in Wonderland, it was pretty magical. DELIA'S SHADOW was seriously chilling crime fiction. All three - four star reads.
MY LADY QUICKSILVER, THE BURNING SKY and THE SPIRIT KEEPER were all five star reads. Serious awesomeness here, me dears!

FOR REVIEW:

Thank you, Patrice! Really looking forward to this book. So far this is an excellent series.

This is it for me, peeps!
I'm all achy as hell after a day of work, yoga last night and going out. We are veritable social butterflies these days :)
Full moon tonight, and it's so bright outside we don't need torches to walk around the land.
Absolutely gorgeous.
Happy Sunday and hugs,
Tchau!

  1. Hey! Happy to hear you got power over there - and clean power at that - very nice! ;) Looks like you've been busy reading! Looking forward to new reviews then.

Just finished writing My Lady Quicksilver review - I really loved this one! I'm all excited for London Steampunk once again (Lena and Will forgiven and forgotten, lol).

  8. I'd give a limb to live your life right now, K. So quiet, though I imagine, busy as well. But no deadlines, no bosses to answer to. Bliss!

Looking forward to reading your thoughts on the books you've read - especially The Burning Sky. Have a great week, K.

  10. I've been doing better on reading my TBR books lately and I had a big clear out of books I realistically am never going to read. Hard to find the time to get to everything though.

  13. Hi, Kara!

I've been wanting to read "The Burning Sky" myself! I've GOT to get it! I'm looking forward to "Destiny" as well -- it's featured on my blog's sidebar. The other books are new to me, but I really like the looks of "The Spirit Keeper", "My Lady Quicksilver", and "Rory". And heck, if you're giving them FIVE stars, they must seriously ROCK.

Sorry for the delayed comment.....and thanks so much for your super sweet comment on my "Stacking the Shelves" post last Saturday!! I LOVE that kitten and pumpkin, too! At the end of the month, they'll be coming down.....I'll be replacing them with a Thanksgiving header. And then, for December, with a Christmas header! (I also have one for New Year's Eve, lol.)

    Have a GREAT weekend!! : )

And both Delia's Shadow and The Spirit Keeper sound great!
