I really wanted to enjoy this book as much as the first two, my dear readers, but I couldn't. I like Lisa Renee Jones, I really do, but this book unfortunately pushed all the wrong buttons and made me dissolve into a simple rant, which I apologise for in advance.

While the first two instalments of Inside Out trilogy read like a roller coaster, Revealing Us got stuck in non-existent plot and character development and lost its drive.

Chris and Sara are in Paris, for God's sake! I don't know what can be more romantic. She doesn't know the language, doesn't want to lean on Chris in the meantime and whines almost non-stop.

Oh, you poor little baby, you don't like French food... You can't work until you get a proper working visa... You can't do this, can't do that while your sexy billionaire boyfriend tries to help you get excited about all the new opportunities... You know what? Get an effing grip, woman! Try something before you reject it outright. I wanted to strangle the main heroine, that's how irritating and immature she was.

And don't let me start on her stupid, naive mistakes and desire to save people who do not deserve it and who brazenly manipulate her...

I suppose I should say thanks that the author is skilled enough to bring out such strong emotions in a reader, but for me this particular book, the lack of something significant happening, and reappearance of Sara's friend only towards the end almost as an afterthought - all of this did not work as a whole. I hope you like it better.

  3. I agree with you! I finished this this morning, and I was disappointed. Sara really annoyed me with the moaning, and so little actually happened! I'm also annoyed that this series has turned into 5 books instead of the original three! I think this book could have been summed up in a couple of chapters of the next book rather than needing a whole book for a trip to paris.
