The Postman Knock #41

I am a little bit sad, peeps.
I had my last day at work on Friday, and left a wonderful team of coworkers teary-eyed.
There was only 5 of us on my shift, but we were a riot.
Farewell, my friends!

Incidentally, I got hammered that night on my leaving do and am still feeling fragile. :)
Anyway, this is one more step towards moving, which I can deal with seriously now.
Hope you had a lovely week in the meantime!

I've READ:

Both THE BONE SEASON and NEANDERTHAL SEEKS HUMAN were amazing and made me lose sleep in order to finish them. First is a fantastic dystopian YA and second one is an adorable, funny, klutzy and nerdy contemporary romance. NANCY'S THEORY OF STYLE is an outrageously flamboyant and beautifully written, but I don't expect anything less from Marta Acosta's books. CROWN OF MIDNIGHT was... good, but I honestly can say that my judgement is skewed by horrendously formated kindle copy I had to read.  HOW TO MISBEHAVE was fun and cutesy novella, and I'm glad I finally tried this author. I really enjoyed it! At last, REVEALING US was disappointing after really good first two books in this series. I expected more. *shrugs*

FOR REVIEW:

BOUGHT:

These two are my paperback copies because I wanted to have something where my blog has been quoted, but ouch - they were not cheap!

FREEBIE:

A first book in the series, recommended by Betsy whose taste in books is very similar to mine.

This is it, have a lovely day, you all!
Ciao!

one of my favorites.

  2. Yes, the kindle format was dreadful on Crown of Midnight...I was so happy to have a paperback version to read. Shame it got in the way of your enjoyment of the story!
I was thinking of starting Bone Season this week - looks like its well worth a read!

It's always sad to say goodbye when you leave a job - but I'm glad it was a fun final shift and you have such an adventure ahead of you!

  9. *HUGS* re work. It's so hard to leave and to say goodbye. Good luck with the move!

That's disappointing about Revealing Us; Carol has really been looking forward to it. I'm glad you liked How to Misbehave, now you have to read the follow-up. It's very different!

  12. I'm so sad on your behalf. It's always a tough thing to leave the ones that have been a part of your life forever. But I'm sure they'll miss you and will always think of you.

Anyway, have fun in Portugal (jealous!)

  13. Gah, I find all of the hype for the Bone Season puzzling. I wasn't impressed by the excerpt I read and I just don't know if it gets better or if it's not for me or what. Ahhhhhh!
