The Postman Knock #2

I am so very tired this week, peeps. I'm working shifts, and this week I was doing nights 8-4am, then I was off on Saturday (whatever's left of it anyway) and back to work on Sunday at 7am. After that it's 2-10pm for the next 5 days.

Tiring? Yes. Especially if you just got back from vacation and had no time to regroup. So, please bear with me while I'm trying to get some rest.
I know I've been lax at answering to comments or even commenting on other blogs... I love you all, and even f I'm not commenting, I do want to! :)

NEWS
Sometime this month or in the beginning of August there will be an 800 followers giveaway with much awesomeness to come.

I'm also declaring August THE month for reading and reviewing paperbacks of which I have plenty. I've been terrible with them because I'm reading way too many ebooks, and they pile up mercilessly.

BOOKS
Here is what I have in my mailbox, folks...

Egalley

Thanks to Simon & Schuster through Edelweiss!

Won

Thank you, Nicki-Ann at Notes of Life and fab Jess Haines, who signed this wonderful book for me!

Library

Considering what I've heard of this book, I'll need to play drinking game every time Anita has an orgasm, Asher pouts or Jean-Claude calls her "ma petite". It will be fun, I'm sure!

For Review

Now, you know that I'm not taking too many books for reviews, because I'm so backlogged it's scary. However, I couldn't resist these authors. Andrez Bergen wrote about Japan of the last century, Paul Rimmasch combined mormons, religious artifacts and archeology, and Tracey Sinclair's novel is about a dating agency for vampires in London. Thank you, Andrez, Paul and Tracey!

These two were already on my wishlist, so when Patrice contacted me about Lucid I said YES, PLEASE! Angel Lawson on the other hand was looking for reviewers, and I asked to consider me. Thank you!

Bought

I just love the look of Geekomancy, plus it was £1.99 from Amazon and sounded delightfully... well... geeky. Loretta Chase is ALWAYS on my autobuy list, because she is one of the best HR authors there is, just like Sherry Thomas.

This is it from me, peeps. What about your mailboxes?

READING HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEK

All three books were absolutely fabulous and I would recommend them to anyone!

No music video or man candy this week, sorry! However, can I just say how much I admire curvaceous Christina Hendricks in Mad Men? She is such a pleasure to look at!
Happy Sunday!

  1. I know what you mean about physical books - I'm risking being drowned in actual books all the time! Hope you survive the shift work - I don't know how you do it!!

Nice books! STalking The oTher is one I need to pick up soon as well...

  2. Shift work sounds sucky. I honestly couldn't hold a job like that as I'd fall asleep on the very first day.
I'm really behind with reviews (well, at least in my opinion - two to write and eight to read/write) so I stay away from NetGalley right now. Yet I do have quite a nice book haul today (post will go up in the afternoon). Can you imagine how good it feels to be able to bookshop again?

  8. Haha, I stoped reading Anita Blake after The Harlequin though i do have a few of the later books that I picked up in charity shops. I guess if I ever fancy something with lots of sex in I can pick them up but disappointed in the lack of story compared to the earlier books...maybe a drinking game is the way to go!

  9. Oh dear, you are going to be so very, very drunk! :D Though with the hours you're working, that might not be all bad. :P

    Don't forget to relax too!
